Wavellite

Small Cabinet, 6.6 x 2.5 x 2.3 cm

Some of the most aesthetic and displayable specimens of Wavellite have come from the Siglo Veinte mine in Bolivia as described by Mark Bandy. This specimen is from a brand new find of this material, and literally came out of the ground a few months ago. This piece features a few pale yellow colored, sphere-shaped radiating aggregates measuring up to 8 mm across associated with prismatic Quartz crystals on matrix. The quality of the Wavellite spheres is pretty good, especially when compared to finds from the last 15 years at Siglo Veinte.
