The Malkhan Mine has produced, in very limited quantities over the years, these superb, gemmy, cranberry-colored tourmalines. This one has fine transparency, a good termination, and good luster. The color becomes more deep and intense towards the termination. You see only a handful of these with two or three Russian dealers at each show - the pockets hit are just very few and not prolific. This crystal weighs 11 grams.
