Tourmaline, Beryl (Var: Morganite)
Small Cabinet, 6.7 x 4.8 x 4.4 cm
Konar (Kunar; Konarh; Konarha; Nuristan) Province, Afghanistan

This specimen features a fine 5.5-cm tourmaline crystal, terminated, nestled within a morganite crystal that has grown around it like a tree around a fencepost! The morganite crystal is itself a euhedral crystal, showing nice faces on the display side (the back and side are contacts), though the back is broken off. It presents dramatically! What a superb contrast between the pastel green and pink, and what a noteworthy and unique gem crystal combo specimen! It is a rare, and pretty, combination! 6.7 x 4.8 x 4.4 cm
