SOLD
A SUPERB Leonard Mine, Butte specimen of lustrous, black, complex tennantite crystals on sparkly, colorless, drusy quartz crystals. The tennantite crystals are large for the locality and this is a very choice specimen. Ex Ed McDole, John Sinkankas and Richard Hauck Collections. The piece comes with a large John Sinkankas label. $10 was a LOT of money at the time in 1963 when they were coming out! Ed McDole probably selfcollected it as one of the most famous stories about him as how he posed as a miner and extracted specimens from the mine until busted and fired. 8.0 x 5.3 x 2.9 cm
