Small Cabinet, 5.2 x 3.5 x 2.5 cm
SOLD
LARGE, lustrous, platy, metallic-gray sylvanite crystals to 7 mm richly cover quartz-rich matrix on this showy and excellent old-timer from the famous Cripple Creek District of Colorado. Sylvanite is an uncommon gold, silver telluride and this is a good one from this well-known locality which produced mostly in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Specimens with any display quality such as this one, and with good crystals as well, are hard to come by. Accompanied by an older label from the Bradleys, East Coast mineral dealers.
