Stottite and ludlockite are two of the very rare mineral species for which the Tsumeb Mine is renowned. It is also the Type Locality for both species. The rich piece of rare germanite ore hosts a small vug that is lined with bundles of brilliant, reddish-orange ludlockite hairs and a 2 mm, gemmy, brown, tetragonal stottite crystal. This crystal is brilliantly lustrous and easily eye visible. This is an excellent combination of the rarities and came from the one-time find at the 30 Level.
