Miniature, 3.6 x 3.2 x 1.8 cm
Ste Lucie Mine, St Leger-de-Peyre, Marvejols, Lozere, Languedoc-Roussillon, France
An exceptional crystal for both the size and the display aesthetics, this piece stands as a superb miniature from a small find in France that really redefined what you could expect from the species. These crystals, I think, are unrivalled for quality and form for the species save for just a few specific specimens known from older workings in Australia - and those of quite another crystal habit entirely, at that. These were found in the early 1990s and quickly dispersed. This woulddefinitely be one of the better miniatures (and in fact Marty prided himself on specifically getting good miniatures of rarities). 3.6 x 3.2 x 1.8 cm
