Spodumene (Var: Kunzite)
Kantiway (Kantiwa) Pegmatite Field, Nangarhar (Ningarhar) Province, Afghanistan
Miniature, 4.9 x 3.1 x 0.6 cm
A downright AMAZING and unique kunzite gem crystal, more glass-like than any I have ever seen. It has a weirdly flattened form. As mentioned, the luster and clarity are absolutely like glass, and the faces are razor-sharp. There is a shallow contact cleave on the back side where the specimen was removed from matrix, but it does not detract from this extraordinary gem crystal. 4.9 x 3.1 x 0.6 cm
