A 3.4 cm, highly lustrous, twinned, stepped-growth face, jet-black sphalerite crystal crowns this fine sphalerite and galena specimen from recent finds at the Santa Eulalia District of Mexico. Part of the "melted look" galena crystal looks like a "feather" on top of the large sphalerite crystal. The rest of the unusual galena crystal is revealed on the back side of the piece. Bands of tiny calcite crystals are a nice accent on this fine combination specimen.
