The recent discovery of these highly etched but completely terminated spessartine garnets created quite a stir, and you can see why. The sculptural aesthetics, luster and clarity are superb, which are complemented by the lovely wine-red color. It is safe to say these have become very sought-after, and this is an excellent example of this recent find. The stepped patterns on this particular piece are amazing. The specimen has beautiful wine-red color saturation and gemminess. This floater is nearly pristine. A very fine spessartine from this find.
