Spangolite is one of the most rare and desirable copper species, a brilliant blue in color. Although very rare worldwide, some small cavities such as this are found in the fluorite mines of Bingham, New Mexico, on occasion. I personally think this a bizarre association, considering Bisbee is hardly a fluorite mine and there you get the best crystals. Although smaller, these, in association with Baryte, are just as beautiful, though! This piece is rich with several vugs of microcrystallline spangolite.
