An old classic, twisted, ropy, wire silver from Creede! This is a rare specimen in that most are thumbnails, or single long wires, or even small ropes on matrix but few larger silvers have been preserved, at least on the collector market. (No old labels with this one, but I have run it by several experts on the stuff and they thought it seemed legit. In person, it is quite different in appearance and firmness from similar-appearing Freiberg material). 4.5 x 2.6 x 0.25 cm
