Serpentine Group
Small Cabinet, 7.4 x 4.4 x 0.8 cm
Liskeard District, Cornwall, England, UK
You do not really think of serpentine as a fine collector mineral - it is usually a cheaper substitute for jade in carvings from the East - but this is a very unusual old English specimen, sliced into a slab and polished to bring out the pretty cream color and mossy inclusions. This would actually make a pretty piece of jewelry!
