SOLD
A showy and bright vug on matrix filled with gemmy and lustrous, cherry-red roselite crystals with colorless calcite scalenohedrons from the famous Bou Azzer District of Morocco. The longest calcite crystal is 7 mm. Roselite is a rare calcium, cobalt, magnesium arsenate and even with the scattered damage, this is a highly representative piece. Ex Richard Hauck Collection. It is possible that, if analyzed today, it would be the related species wendwilsonite. 4.8 x 4.5 x 2.3 cm
