Rosasite, Malachite, Azurite
Silver Bill Mine, Costello Mine group (Costello claims), Gleeson, Turquoise District (Courtland-Gleeson District), Dragoon Mts, Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
Miniature, 4.8 x 4.7 x 4.2 cm
A showy and superb combination/pseudomorph specimen from the Silver Bill Mine of Arizona. Matte-finish, powder-blue rosasite coats sharp malachite pseudomorphs after azurite blades in a deep, well-placed vug on sculptural, quartz-rich matrix. The few contacted areas reveal the malachite beneath the rosasite coating. Superb and uncommon material from this well-known locality, that produced rich ore intermittently from 1893-1978. Ex. Mullane Collection.
