Rhodonite
Morro da Mina Mine, Conselheiro Lafaiete (old Queluz de Minas), Minas Gerais, Southeast Region, Brazil
Miniature, 4.8 x 4.2 x 1.7 cm
SOLD
DISCRETE, ISOLATED, gemmy, cherry-red rhodonite crystals on a beautifully contrasting snow-white matrix specimen from the NEW FIND in Brazil. Discrete crystals are RARE. The sharp, bladed crystal is 1.8 cm. The large, blocky crystal is 1.7 cm. A few of the rhodonite crystals are pristine, but most are contacted or are cleavages. This remains a very SHOWY, HIGHLY REPRESENTATIVE and excellent specimen for the species and it is not from Broken Hill. This piece is particularly aesthetic.
