An excellent N'Chwaning II rhodochrosite specimen. Gemmy and lustrous, vivid, deep cherry-red to cherry-red rhodochrosite rests on pastel-pink rhodochrosite. The deep cherry-red rhodochrosite on the left side of the piece has the uncommon "horse-apple" form and the cherry-red rhodochrosite is comprised of tiny rhombs in botryoidal form. Fascinating, variable crystal form makes this unusual piece. Highly representative of the late 1970s finds.
