Rich, pink, lustrous, rhombs of rhodochrosite, to 1.0 cm across are nestled in a vug of massive, black, manganese ore. The color contrast of this specimen is just astounding and the aesthetics are good. To top it off, the rhodo is from Japan! TRUE RHOMBOHEDRAL CRYSTALS are extremely rare for the locality and I am told this dates to the late 1800s
