An outrageous, amazing large cabinet specimen from the Orange River area. There are lustrous and Gemmy Smoky Quartz crystals, some grading into Amethyst, that grow across the side of this gigantic single Quartz crystal. The largest of the Smoky Quartzes is 3.5 x 3.5, while many of the tabular flat-lying crystals average 2.5 cm in size, with the largest being 4.5 cm. They all have superb luster, color, and gemminess. An aesthetic and entrancing large showpiece, quite unusual in size and appearance for this locale. Ex. Charlie Key.
