The most prized and rare of all the quartz varieties rose quartz - here represented by a cluster atop a large crystal of milky, colorless quartz. The display of the pink atop the normal quartz is striking, and elegant. The deep pink-hued crystals range from gemmy to translucent, and there are some razor-sharp crystals here of pretty good size. The contrast between the rose quartz and the milky crystal it sits on makes this specimen special. From recent finds.
