Miniature, 4.5 x 4.1 x 3.4 cm
Wagholi Quarry, near Poona, Maharashtra, India

Intense, royal blue, lustrous, translucent, bladed, cavansite crystals, to 2.0 cm across, are perched atop a matrix of soft, white, massive, stilbite. This is the most rare habit for cavansite here, and in person you can see how wildly different these pseudo-triangular blades are from the standard ball-shaped crystal aggregates.
