Pyromorphite
Bunker Hill Mine (Tyler; Stemwinder; Bunker Hill and Sullivan; Bunker Chance Mine), Bunker Hill Properties, Kellogg, Coeur d'Alene District, Shoshone Co., Idaho, USA
Cabinet, 10.0 x 9.3 x 2.4 cm
SOLD
This is a rather large specimen of quality so impressive you have to see it to believe it. The luster is so bright it is almost glassy, as much as pyro can be. It has a very RICH, unusually red-orangey color (due to high Arsenian content). The whole plate is pristine and not only that, but the rolling botryoidal crystallization wraps aorund the edges as well. One of the stars of the pyromorphite suite, without doubt, in this collection. Plates of such size came out about a decade ago and haven't been had since. This piece positively glows with color and is really quite irreplaceable at any price on today's market. 10 x 9.3 x 2.4 cm
