Small Cabinet, 5.6 x 5.1 x 1.6 cm
Mauldin Mt., Montgomery Co., Arkansas, USA
This mineral is one of the lesser known members of the Turquiose group. In fact, it was stated by the late, great mineralogist Gene Foord, that the majority of the Turquoise thats out on the market today is actually Planerite! He did extensive analysis on a large number of specimens and found that Planerite is actually more common than people might think. This specimen has a coverage of small light green spheres of Planerite on both sides of the piece. A good piece for this locality. 5.6 x 5.1 x 1.6cm
