Phosphophyllite, with its unique blue-green color and gemminess, is one of the rarest and most desirable mineral species in the world. This rare, large specimen, from a recent find features a 2-7 mm thick vein of phosphophyllite sandwiched between the sulfide and quartz-rich matrix. Two of the phosphophyllites are sharply terminated and highly lustrous; one is very gemmy, while the other is translucent. The gemmy crystal is classic, high-grade material. The translucent crystal is actually 3.0 cm long.
