- Snowbird mine, Fish Creek, Alberton, Mineral Co., Montana, USA
A very rare, very large, sharply tapering parisite crystal from the Snowbird Mine of Montana. This complete-all-around, pristine, yellowish-brown crystal has moderate to flashy luster and classic pseudo-hexagonal form. Parisite is a rare, rare-earth carbonate and the Snowbird Mine is a rare earth pegmatite. Old, seldom seen material, with most production in 1955-56.
