Okenite
Jalgaon District, Maharashtra, India
Cabinet, 12.1 x 8.5 x 6.8 cm
SOLD
This large, egg-shaped pocket was removed from the host matrix intact, with windows at either end into a snowy interior featuring a bed of micro-stilbites on which sits a row of pristine, velvety "cotton-balls" of okenite. There are a-half-dozen balls of okenite, measuring to 2.5 cm across. These are so often bruised due to their incredible fragility, but in this case have been protected by the surrounding matrix. One end has been more widely opened to give a better view of the okenite balls.
