These fine mimetites appeared in the late 1990s, and took their place amongst the uncommon worldwide occurrences of gemmy mimetites. These Thai mimetites have an intense, almost wet luster as well, and bright orange color, making them particularly pretty. It turns out to have been a onetime find. No more came out, and pieces are uncommon today.
