Seamanite
Chicagoan Mine, Iron County, Michigan, USA
Miniature, 5.0 x 4.0 x 3.0 cm
Ex. Martin Zinn
SOLD
This is the only good specimen of seamanite on the market, and the only one likely to be. It is from the Barlow Collection, and is prominently featured in his book. It is perhaps the ultimate Michigan rarity, having been found only once, and almost 200 years ago. I am told that this is probably the richest sample outside of the Seaman Museum and outside of Bill Pinch's original collection, which now resides in Ottawa. I am proud to add that this piece now resides in Bill Pinch's NEW collection - a fine home for a special little ugly rock!
