Inyoite is a RARE borate. This EXCELLENT and showy specimen features a sharp, 3.1 cm, very glassy and zoned, pseudorhombic crystal as the primary feature. This two-sided crystal is jauntily perched on the top or side of the specimen. The slight bruise, on one corner, is out of sight. This showy piece comes from a recent, but small find in arid, high altitude valleys of Argentina. There is minor contacting, on this essentially pristine specimen.
