Grossular, Vesuvianite
Lake Jaco, Sierra de la Cruz, Mun. de Sierra Mojada, Coahuila, Mexico
Miniature, 4.4 x 4.4 x 4.2 cm
SOLD
This is a huge crystal of vesuvianite from Lake Jaco, with the most characteristic color from there (olive yellow) and the typical blocky form. On its lustrous faces, you can see that pale grossular garnets have formed. Lake Jaco is known for both of these, but not typically together, so this is an interesting association specimen.
