An EXCELLENT, sculptural and bright microcrystalline and hackly gold with a bit of quartz from the famous Placerville area of California. The bit of coppery patina is a very nice accent. "Hangtown" is probably appropriately named for those who tried to steal gold from the rightful owners and were caught. These pieces were mined in 1969.
