Fizelyite
Herja Mine (Kisbanya), Baia Mare (Nagybanya), Maramures Co., Romania
Cabinet, 13.5 x 7.5 x 2.8 cm
SOLD
This is an exceptionally rich, rarer, large example of the lead/silver/antimony sulfide Fizelyite. These came out in the early to mid-1900s (and some even earlier) and are often confused with semseyite - although this is much rarer and has obvious differences to the eye, in person. This plate is LOADED with the stuff! It occurs as sharp prismatic crystals to 1 cm or so (flat-laying) on freibergite with jamesonite and semseyite to 1 cm. He bought it from Scott Williams a long time ago and that label is included as well. 13.5 x 7.5 x 2.8 cm
