Michelle Prospect, Rayon, Sonora, Mexico
Small Cabinet, 9.2 x 6.0 x 3.0 cm
Ex. Ernest Schlichter
Looking much like Touissit, Morocco wulfenite crystals, these yellow crystals to 1.5 cm across are from a much more recent find in Mexico. They were found in a small venture when dealer Dan Belsher explored this locality for specimen potential, perhaps a decade ago. The tabular crystals exhibit intense luster and are scattered over the matrix rather than bunched together. They hover around 1 cm in size and are farily sturdy (though I would prefer not tomail this one). Since the prospect is finished, the supply of these wonderful wulfenite specimens is rather limited and this happens to be among the few largest I know of, on the market or off.
