Smithsonite With Cerussite
Miniature, 4.7 x 3.8 x 2.4 cm
Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia
Ex. Ed Ruggiero

If you look at almost anyone's Tsumeb wish list, you would certainly find razor-sharp pink scalenodral Cobaltian Smithsonites (faintly pink, as the habit tends to be - they look more beige in pics). Elsewhere on the list you would also find a lustrous cyclic twin of Cerussite. Here we have a rich specimen with freestanding cobaltian smithsonite crystals of high translucency and good size (to 1.5 cm), with very sharp Cerussite twin (with only minor chatter on it) perched upon it! Super miniature, and one of our favorites of the lot! BETTER In PERSON. Purchased from the Zweibels in 1976
