This is a beautiful and important specimen for the species, featuring exceptionally well-developed crystals of Tsumcorite that are up to 6 mm in length! The cluster is huge, for this style of tsumcorite. The crystals exhibit a color and definition on a scale that is rarely seen for the species. Not only do you have the spray in the middle of the specimen, but the orange-tan matrix on the left is really the scalloped surface of a radial cluster of acicular crystals as well. The whole ball on the left side, is a single radiating hemisphere of the stuff...with a spray of more freestanding crystals on what I call the front of the piece, perched against the upper tips of the spherical aggregate. Considering the rarity of this species, this is a remarkable specimen! Purchased from the Zweibels in 1976
