This beautiful rarity has to be one of the nicest presentation-quality specimens of crystallized tsumcorite around. The quality of the crystals is really high because of many reasons: the size of the individual crystals, which are eye-visible, are relatively huge for the species; they have bright color instead of the usual rusty brown hues; sharp form as recognizable crystals instead of the usual crust of intergrown crystals (then, usually as micros); and the rich and attractive coverage on contrasting matrix. Quartz is also quite rare from Tsumeb, and the matrix concists entirely of quartz, hematite-stained a brown color. This is an exceptional and beautiful tsumcorite, and one of a style that is, for the reasons above, seldome see.
