A quote from Ed's own label card: "This may not be the most beautiful specimen in the Collection, but it may be the most important. This one should go into a museum!! From the collection of Dr. Geier, the mine mineralogist for 25 years. I purchased this specimen from Miriam and Julius Zweibel who brough ti tback from Tsumeb in 1978 specifically for me. Crystals of galena are uncommon from Tsumeb and rarely reach 1 cm in size...a quote from the Min Record Tsumeb issue, page 25. "These crystals reach up to 1.8 cm! They feature sharp crystals showin gthe cubic form modified by octohedral faces. Associated microminerals include Cerussite, Anglesite, Mimetite, and Quartz. Despite all its production of lead, galena was indeed rare throughout Tsumeb's history! Truly an amazing and important Miniature for any collection of Tsumeb material. Purchased from the Zweibels in 1978
