Small Cabinet, 5.3 x 4.2 x 4.2 cm
Navidad Mine (Mina Navidad; Abasolo Mine; Rodeo Mine), Abasolo, Rodeo, Mun. de Rodeo, Durango, Mexico
A very nice specimen of two connected, intergrown balls of creedite and covered with large, gemmy, light-orange to colorless crystals from the new find of August, 2009. The large crystal is nearly 2.0 cm. Good creedites were rare and expensive from any locality, until these orange ones were found in Mexico. This is a beautiful and aesthetic specimen with very few broken crystals and is an excellent floater cluster. The creedite crystals in this find are generally larger and gemmier, than earlier finds. I especially like the way the gemmy, larger crystals dominate the piece.
