Creedite
Navidad Mine (Mina Navidad; Abasolo Mine; Rodeo Mine), Abasolo, Rodeo, Mun. de Rodeo, Durango, Mexico
Small Cabinet, 8.7 x 8.5 x 8.0 cm
SOLD
As with the pink fluorites from the same locality, until these creedites were discovered, good crystallized specimens were exceedingly rare and expensive from ANY locality. Suddenly, you could own a really fine creedite without selling your house to get it. Then, about 4 months back, we heard that the mining was FINISHED, supposedly for good. We were fortunate enough to buy some, having been tipped off. So if you do not have one, well, here is another chance. This is a largefloater ball, covered with large, gemmy orange creedite crystals to 1.5 centimeter in length! There are a couple of contacts on the bottom where you can see bits of colorful fluorite from crystals that were intergrowing with this creedite ball on the pocket wall. With these contacts towards the back, you have a perfectly round display face, completely covered with big crystals!! 8.7 x 8.5 x 8.0cm
