Iridescent, magenta and peacock-blue covellite covers this essentially solid large cabinet specimen of covellite from the Leonard Mine at Butte. Stringers of bright, brassy pyrite microcrystals are a very nice accent. The label with the piece indicates that it was collected in 1942. Very rich copper ore for the war effort.
