Chrysocolla
Lavender Open Pit Mine (Lavender pit), Bisbee, Warren District, Mule Mts, Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
Cabinet, 9.9 x 8.4 x 5.9 cm
SOLD
This is a large, very rich specimen of chrysocolla from what is probably the most classic locality in America. You can see various shades of robin's-egg blue and green (there is some malachite but the vast majority of this is chrysocolla). There is a shallow pocket with some botryoidal forms in it. I would say about 50% of this large, thick nodule is chrysocolla (the rest being matrix) .
