A superb reticulated cerussite specimen with a bit of matrix on the back from Tsumeb. This is adramatic piece and is one of the best things we have put in the auctions, period. The cerussite crystals are gemmy, lustrous, colorless, sheet-like blades like bridge girders. very, very MINIMAL damage to this very fine specimen - much less than typical with such fragile things, please note! There is some damage along one elongated frontal surface and some along the periphery. But, in context, it does not draw the eye. It was almost certainly mined in the late 1960s or early 1970s. It is from the personal mineral collection of South African dealer Rob Smith, which I purchased this summer. Big collection and I simply gotta move some volume... Seriously, though, its a super piece. 5.9 x 3.7 x 3.0 cm
