Cassiterite
St Agnes District, Cornwall, England, UK

Important, Cornish mineral specimens today are as rare as hens' teeth. This incredible, old cassiterite specimen, loaded with extremely lustrous, black crystals, probably dates back to the hey-day of tin mining in Cornwall, the 1800s. The presence of two spectacular cassiterite twins, in the form of "drill bits," each of which measures 1.0 cm across, raises the quality of this specimen to UNIQUE! I have never seen for sale such a fine cornish cassiterite featuring sharp crystals of this habit. IT IS MUCH BETTER In PERSON 6.9 x 3.8 x 3.5 cm
