This specimen features Large carrollite octahedrons with INCREDIBLE IRIDESCENCE, unlike any I have ever seen! It is probably a natural oxidation coating that is perhaps accidentally removed in prep of other specimens? These crystals sit on malachite-included calcite matrix. Yes, the carrollite crystals are damaged and there is some edge wear, especially on the back if not as bad on the display face; BUT if perfect, this would be a five-figure specimen!! A fabulous representative specimen of the species and easily worth ????? Hard to say. I expect it is worth anywhere from $750-1000 at the least. the thing is, you will never find a crystal this large or this showy for under a grand, in my opinion, pristine or not. This one happens to be a sacrificial trim off an even larger specimen and so I can risk it at auction....7.7 x 5.3 x 4.4 cm
