A crust of translucent, lustrous, apple green, botryoidal, smithsonite has grown almost totally around a thin septa of matrix. The largest botryoid reaches 1.0 cm across. This is an unusually large and pristine specimen from the best find to date here of this material, dug by George Stevens and George Godas in the late 1980s. I value this highly, as among the best of American smithsonite pockets.
