A very showy and excellent CABINET cave calcite specimen from Tasmania, Australia. The diverging, cream-colored, drape-like calcite blades are a stalactite formation, meaning, that the piece grew and hung from the roof of a cave. The narrow base was the attachment and growth point on the cave ceiling. Ex. B.E. Lockhart collection.
