This specimen features an equant, glassy and gemmy, wine red colored crystal, measuring 1 cm and perched aesthetically on a matrix of biotite mica. Mesmerizing little gem! Minor peripheral edge wear is present on one side of the zircon but the overall effect of the specimen is unaffected. This crystal is so sharp and lustrous, it looks cut and polished with a lapidary wheel. The largest crystal measures 1.5 cm in length. This is the single largest crystal of this lot. The back side of this crystal is partially contacted, however, this is not apparent from the preferred viewing angles from which it certainly looks complete and pristine. A superb zircon from any locality, with wine-red color and glassy lustre.
