This mesmerizingly beautiful gold specimen is complexly intertwined on itself, and is an excellent example of the rare rope habit in gold, found in Siberia more than anywhere else in the past. It is actually ore robust than it looks, and difficult to bend. A small gold, perhaps, but one that stands out so dramatically!

A fat, juicy, very bright 2.5 x 1.7 x 1.2 cm aquamarine is here hanging off a razor-sharp schorl, for a really nice contrast of color and geometry. The aqua is phantomed, with a clear internal core and a flat hexagonal termination down hidden beneath the glassy and pristine surface termination. This blurs together in the photos but is more evident in person. Extremely choice!

tt07 - Silver "rope" - $450 SOLD
Kongsberg, Buskerud, Norway
thumbnail, 2.3 x 0.9 x 0.7 cm
ex.  Laura Thompson
ex.  Stevia Thompson

A VERY robust , curling rope of silver from teh classic old European locale. This one is , for a thumbnail, unusual in that you get the robust thickness but also some aesthetics in the curve and overall form. Its hard to get thumbnail examples that really stand out, of this material, rather than just being small pieces of silver.

tt08 - Fluorite - $750
Weardale, Durham, England
thumbnail, 2.5 x 2.4 x 1.7 cm
ex.  Eric Asselborn
ex.  Laura Thompson
ex.  Stevia Thompson

A totally gemmy 1.7 cm crystal of the quality found long ago, certainly in the early 1800s as this is characteristic of a specimen from the era. MUCH BETTER in person, this is an outstanding thumbnail example that is not just a small fluorite, but rather a fine specimen that leaps out at you , even if it happens to be small. Much better than the average little fluorite thumb you might see, in other words. This was part of a small collection of variously colored fluorite thumbs and toenails assembled by Eric Asselborn over the years.

tt09 - Chrysoberyl on Quartz - $300 SOLD
Espírito Santo, Southeast Region, Brazil
miniature, 4.0 x 2.5 x 1.8 cm
ex.  Laura Thompson
ex.  Stevia Thompson

Crystals to 1.25 cm o matrix of a quartz crystal...the only such matrix specimen I can say as I have personally seen (and Wayne agreed).
