Beautiful 1 cm clusters of acicular xonotlite, on a great perch of contrasting ruddy brown inesite! It COULD be tobermorite, which would be much more valuable, I am sure. But, I have not had it analyzed so am erring with caution here.

A gorgeous and large specimen of this species featuring velvety balls of xonotlite in large aggregates. Miraculously, as this is a fragile species, there seems to be no damage to the display face! The "open" sphere in front shows the natural acicular crystals that make up each radiating aggregate 7.8 x 4.2 x 2.7 cm

A beautiful and aesthetic red ball of inesite with chatoyant or silky shimmering lustre topped by a "cap" of fibrous xonotlite from the 1970s find. This piece is a hemisphere and the back side photo shows the lustrous radial inesite crystals. 4.2 x 3.5 x 2.2 cm

A showy specimen of cream-colored balls and clusters of radial, fibrous xonotlite crystals. The outer surface of the xonotlite balls are soft and spony, much like human skin! Very unusual! Old material. Ex Willy Israel Collection, who purchased this piece from dealer Clive Queit in 1987. 8.0 x 7.5 x 4.4 cm
