6.0 x 3.3 x 1.7 cm. Xanthoconite is a RARE sulfosalt, being silver arsenic sulfide. It is a dimorph or different crystal form of proustite. This OLD, showy piece features sparkly, red clusters of xanthoconite microcrystals aesthetically scattered amidst blades of a wedge of two-toned barite from a famous old, German locality in the Erzgebirge - the Alte Hoffnung Gottes Mine in the Freiberg District.
